The challenge

The office grew. The setup needed to follow.

Three computers already used QuickBooks Enterprise. Two new workstations needed access to the same company file, but account and shared-folder differences stood in the way.

The goal was simple: connect the new PCs to the existing office environment.

What Mashfix did

  1. Start with the working setup

    We reviewed the existing computers, QuickBooks Enterprise installation and the company file the office already used.

  2. Find the access barrier

    We traced the file location and worked through Windows sharing and sign-in differences that were keeping the new PCs from connecting.

  3. Connect the new workstations

    We configured access through the office network and completed the two new PCs’ connections to the existing QuickBooks company file.

The result

Both new PCs connected. Setup completed.

The two additional workstations gained access to the office’s existing QuickBooks Enterprise company-file environment.
