What the diagnostic process covers

Similar symptoms can come from very different faults. Mashfix starts by documenting the behavior, checking the relevant power, hardware, firmware and software paths, and separating the confirmed cause from secondary symptoms.

After testing, you receive a clear explanation of the findings, the proposed repair, expected timing and price. Work proceeds after your approval.

Common questions

Answers before you book

Why does my PS5 show no signal?

First check that the display uses the correct HDMI input and that both ends of the cable are secure. Try a known-working HDMI cable and another display input, connecting the console directly to the display. If there is still no picture, the HDMI port, signal circuitry or another startup fault may need diagnosis. No signal does not automatically mean the port needs replacement.

Can a damaged HDMI port be replaced?

A physically damaged port can often be replaced, but the board pads and nearby components must also be inspected. Board damage or a separate video-circuit fault can require additional work. Tell us the console model and whether the cable or port was pulled or struck. We confirm the repair scope and price after inspection.

Why does a console overheat and shut down?

Blocked ventilation, dust, a fan fault or poor heat transfer can cause overheating. Turn the console off and let it cool, then make sure its vents have clear space as described by the manufacturer. If the warning or shutdown returns, stop repeated testing and request diagnosis. Cleaning alone may not resolve a failed fan or another cooling-system problem.
